Beyond Bags: Louis Vuitton Series 2
The second advertising campaign from Guesquière is out now. For the “Series 2” the Louis Vuitton creative director worked with Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber, the same photographers who shot the “Series 1” campaing.
E’ finalmente uscita la nuova campagna pubblicitaria curata da Guesquiere, la “Series 2“, la continuazione della fortunata campagna precedente. Anche in quest’occasione, il direttore creativo di Louis Vuitton ha collaborato con Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber.
Boyarde: when customization meets art.
We talked about customization yesterday (see post here), and today we take it one step further. If you desire a truly unique piece, this is what you are looking for. Boyarde is a London-based artist who hand paints her signature pop-art aesthetic onto a variety of expensive handbags. She customizes Goyarde, Hermes, Vuitton, Balenciaga and Chanel pieces, and since every leather is different, she developed specific painting processes for each type of material.
Ieri abbiamo parlato di borse personalizzate (qui il post), e oggi vogliamo portare questo discorso ad un altro livello. Se desiderate avere un pezzo veramente unico, Boyarde è l’artista che fa per voi. Stiamo parlando di un’artista inglese, che dipinge a mano ritratti pop-art su qualsiasi borsa di lusso vogliate. Dipinge su borse di Goyarde, Hermes, Vuitton, Balenciaga e Chanel, e dal momento che ogni pelle è diversa, ha sviluppato diversi processi per ogni tipo di materiale.
For instance, this is the Birkin process: Boyarde starts off by sanding the bag, then she applies thin layers of paint to the Hermes pieces to achieve the final look.
Ad esempio, questo è il processo di personalizzazione sulle Birkin: Boyarde inizia smerigliando la borsa, quindi può applicare leggeri strati di pittura per raggiungere l’effetto desiderato.
